به گفته توسعهدهندگان در دانشگاه ژجیانگ، شمار نورونهای «میمون داروین» به اندازه مغز یک میمون ماکاک نزدیک میشود و میتواند به پیشبرد هوش مصنوعی الهامگرفته از مغز انسان کمک کند.
به گزارش ساوت چاینا مورنینگ پست، «میمون داروین» تازهترین نسل از رایانههای شبیهمغز است که توسط پژوهشگران دانشگاه ژجیانگ تولید شده است. این نخستین رایانه شبیهمغز جهان بر پایه یک تراشه نورومورفیک اختصاصی با بیش از ۲ میلیارد نورون است.
این سامانه محاسباتی از ۹۶۰ تراشه شبیهمغز داروین ۳ ساخته شده که بیش از ۱۰۰ میلیارد سیناپس ایجاد میکند و به گفته دانشگاه «یک گام نزدیکتر به دستیابی به هوش پیشرفتهتر شبیهمغز» است.
«میمون داروین» تاکنون با موفقیت در انجام وظایفی چون تولید محتوا، استدلال منطقی و ریاضیات به کار گرفته شده و از مدل بزرگ شبیهمغز شرکت پیشگام چینی دیپسیک استفاده کرده است.
منابع نورونی و سیناپسی این رایانه شبیهمغز همچنین میتواند برای شبیهسازی مغز حیوانات مختلف مانند ماکاک، موش و ماهی گورخری به کار رود؛ موضوعی که دانشگاه ژجیانگ تأکید کرده میتواند تحقیقات علوم اعصاب را پیش ببرد.
محاسبات نورومورفیک یا محاسبات شبیهمغز، از شبکههای عصبی و قابلیتهای پردازشی مغز الهام گرفته و از نورونها و سیناپسهای مصنوعی بهره میگیرد. این فناوری امکان پردازش کارآمدتر دادهها را فراهم کرده و سیستمها را قادر میسازد تا عملکردهای شناختی مانند تصمیمگیری، یادگیری و حافظه را شبیهسازی کنند. چنین قابلیتی میتواند به حل سریعتر و سازگارتر مسائل و نیز توسعه سامانههای پیشرفتهتر هوش مصنوعی منجر شود.
شبکههای عصبی اسپایکی (Spiking Neural Networks) یک گام فراتر از شبکههای عصبی مصنوعی سنتی هستند، زیرا به جای مقادیر پیوسته، از پالسها یا سیگنالهای گسسته برای نمایش و انتقال داده استفاده میکنند و در نتیجه عملکرد نورونهای زیستی را دقیقتر بازسازی میکنند.
در آوریل سال ۲۰۲۴، شرکت اینتل اعلام کرد که نخستین سامانه نورومورفیک با ۱.۱۵ میلیارد نورون به نام هالا پوینت (Hala Point) را ساخته است؛ سامانهای که به گفته اینتل، راه را به سوی «هوش مصنوعی کارآمدتر و مقیاسپذیرتر» هموار میکند. این سامانه ابتدا در آزمایشگاههای ملی سندیا که با بودجه وزارت انرژی آمریکا اداره میشوند، مستقر شد.
تراشه داروین ۳ – که سامانه «میمون داروین» بر پایه آن ساخته شده – در سال ۲۰۲۳ توسط دانشگاه ژجیانگ و با همکاری مؤسسه تحقیقاتی ژجیانگ لب (Zhejiang Lab) توسعه یافت. ژجیانگ لب به طور مشترک توسط این دانشگاه، دولت استانی ژجیانگ و گروه علیبابا تأمین مالی میشود.
هر تراشه داروین ۳ از بیش از ۲.۳۵ میلیون نورون اسپایکی و صدها میلیون سیناپس پشتیبانی میکند و دارای «مجموعه دستورالعملهای محاسبات شبیهمغز و سازوکارهای یادگیری آنلاین نورومورفیک» است.
این سامانه در شرایط عملیاتی معمول تنها حدود ۲۰۰۰ وات برق مصرف میکند.
ویژگیهای مقیاس بزرگ، موازیسازی بالا و کممصرف بودن [میمون داروین] یک الگوی محاسباتی تازه برای سناریوهای موجود فراهم خواهد کرد.
این دستاورد پس از معرفی «موش داروین» در سال ۲۰۲۰ توسط همین تیم محققان حاصل شده است؛ سامانهای که دارای ۱۲۰ میلیون نورون مصنوعی بود.
به گفته دانشگاه ژجیانگ، «میمون داروین» حاصل پیشرفتهای فناورانه در حوزههایی مانند بهبود اتصال و یکپارچهسازی شبکه عصبی و توسعه نسل جدیدی از سیستمعاملهای شبیهمغز است.
