به گزارش ساوت چاینا مورنینگ پست، رئیس هیات مدیره چیهو ۳۶۰ چند روز پیش در مصاحبهای گفت که این شرکت اخیرا در راستای راهبرد جامع خود مبنی بر حمایت از صنایع داخلی، تراشههای هواوی را خریداری کرده است.
این اظهارات در شرایطی مطرح شد که انویدیا در اواسط ماه ژوئیه از دریافت مجوز دولت آمریکا برای از سر گرفتن فروش یک واحد پردازش گرافیکی (GPU) به نام اچ۲۰ خبر داده بود که به طور اختصاصی برای بازار چین طراحی شده است و محدودیتهای صادراتی واشنگتن علیه پکن را نقض نمیکند.
اچ۲۰ اوایل سال ۲۰۲۴ عرضه شد و تا قبل از آن که واشنگتن در ماه آوریل فروش آن به بازار چین را ممنوع کند، تراشه مورد علاقه شرکتهای فناور چینی مانند بایتدنس و هلدینگ تنسنت برای آموزش مدلهای هوش مصنوعی بود.
رئیس هیات مدیره چیهو ۳۶۰ ضمن اذعان به وجود فاصله تکنولوژیکی بین تراشههای چینی و محصولات انویدیا میگوید که استفاده از تراشههای داخلی یک «ضرورت» است، چون «هرچه بیشتر از آنها استفاده کنیم، بیشتر پیشرفت خواهند کرد».
به گفته او اچ۲۰ برای استفاده در استنتاج AI چندان مناسب نیست، چرا که استنتاج برخلاف آموزش مدلهای هوش مصنوعی به برخی ویژگیها یا عملکردهای خاص مانند اتصال پرسرعت نیازی ندارد و همین مساله باعث میشود که تراشههای داخلی در مقایسه با اچ۲۰ مقرون به صرفهتر باشند.
به موازات تلاشهای پکن برای کاهش وابستگی به فناوریهای آمریکایی، شرکتهای فناور چینی هم تمایل فزایندهای به استفاده از تراشههای داخلی (هم برای استنتاج و هم برای آموزش AI) نشان دادهاند، چرا که میخواهند از این طریق ریسک ناشی از محدودیتهای صادراتی واشنگتن را کمتر کنند.
وزارت بازرگانی ایالات متحده در سال ۲۰۲۰ نام شرکت چیهو ۳۶۰ را به فهرست سیاه (Entity List) افزود و حالا این شرکت نمیتواند بدون دریافت مجوزهای لازم، فناوریهای آمریکایی را خریداری کند.
آیفلایتک، شرکت هوش مصنوعی مستقر در هفئی نیز در ماه آوریل اعلام کرد که مدلهای زبانی بزرگ خود را تماما با تراشههای اسند (Ascend) هواوی آموزش میدهد. نام آیفلایتک هم از سال ۲۰۱۹ در فهرست سیاه قرار گرفته است.
بنیانگذار و رئیس هیات مدیره این شرکت میگوید در سال ۲۰۲۴ کارایی تراشه هوش مصنوعی اسند ۹۱۰بی (۹۱۰B) برای آموزش مدلهای استدلالی تنها معادل ۲۰ درصد کارایی محصولات انویدیا بوده است، ولی شرکت او و هواوی تا سال جاری توانستهاند با کمک هم این عدد را به حدود ۸۰ درصد افزایش دهند.
البته انتظار میرود با از سرگیری فروش GPUهای اچ۲۰ انویدیا، بازار چین کاملا از آن استقبال کند و به گفته تحلیلگران، جایگزینی کامل تراشههای هوش مصنوعی انویدیا در کوتاهمدت برای هواوی غیر ممکن خواهد بود.
در گزارش اخیر مورگان استنلی آمده که لغو ممنوعیت صادرات اچ۲۰ به معنای برداشته شدن یکی از موانع کوتاهمدت کلیدی توسعه هوش مصنوعی در چین است، و بودجه شرکتهای اصلی ارائهدهنده خدمات ابری این کشور برای بخش هوش مصنوعی امسال با رشد ۶۰ درصدی به ۳۸۰ میلیارد یوآن (۵۳ میلیارد دلار) خواهد رسید.
به گزارش بانک سرمایهگذاری آمریکا (US investment bank)، وابستگی چین به GPUهای ساخت خارج فعلا ادامه دارد و پردازندههای نسل جدید اسند ۹۱۰سی هواوی هم هنوز برای کاربردهای تجاری در مقیاس بزرگ در دسترس کاربران قرار نگرفته است.
مدیر عامل انویدیا اواسط ماه ژوئیه در پکن به رسانههای چینی گفت که در حال حاضر از لحظه ثبت سفارش ویفر تا تحویل تراشههای نهایی تقریبا نه ماه طول میکشد و این شرکت با تمام توان مشغول کار است تا ظرفیت تولید را به حد مطلوب بازگرداند.
